Still Building

高中時參加管樂隊，不僅時下流行音樂也聽，古典樂也是少不了。雖然不能說自己沉浸在音樂之中，但那時候的音感，以及對音樂的敏銳度可說是人生的一個小高峰。那時候起就很想寫寫自己對音樂的感受，一方面是想紓發自己聽後的感觸；一方面是想與朋友分享。我覺得音樂真的是無國界，雖然有時候歌曲和歌詞的契合度也要高才能傳達更確切的message。但有的時候既使歌詞不懂，歌曲的旋律仍可以引起共鳴。記得我在美國認識的韓國朋友SeungChan，聽著不懂歌詞的華語歌曲，也因而感動不已。從小到大買的專輯約有300張，有些是從電視電影廣播無意聽到，更是難以記數，雖然跟很多資深樂迷比起來並不算多，但我總有一個 “Good songs” list等著我去收藏。要去分析一張專輯或是一個Artist的音樂，對我實在是太難了！畢竟每個人聽的感受不同，所以我想以 ”分享”來替代”分析”。做主觀的”感受”代替主觀的”批判”。要分享的音樂實在是太多了，甚至一些尚未知道曲目的音樂還縈繞在我腦海裡等著我去發掘，所以這個blog的文章應該不會出現的太快 ( I hope the articles will come out faster by the time…because that might mean my expression of words and feeling is getting better…ha) Winona期望Music What You Are是一個慢工出細活的blog，敬請期待！

I've heard of Renee's voice for a while, before I know her name and her biography I think this voice must come from a lady about 30-year-old. Trust me, you won't think she is a 15-year-old girl from Texas! Her voice is a little bit sweet but also mature, skillful. The music is mainly jazz, big band. The first song I heard from her is "a love that will last", it makes me think about weekday afternoon walking by the riverside park and talking about my sweet love. then aother one "someone to watch over me" , is my favorite song ( i heard from movie Mr. Holland's opus). Her expression is a little bit sweet and bashful. I think as her age she is doing a good job already but she still has a great room for her to become more mature. at that time I think her voice will add more real story in side.

The first time i heard about his music was at a Fall Art Festival in Gainesville in last November.

It's a live show, about 4 bands was invited to this festival and Alex and his band really impressed me a lot.

actually, I just heard his music one time, his music performed that day was in his new album.

The music is like modern jazz or fusion.( i am not good at classifaction....most of the time i just enjoy the music) His music is pretty cool.....makes me feel relaxing and at the festival, everybody enjoys the music, they sit on the lawn, drink something and swinging; that is very different from people in Taiwan! I like the atmosphere in that concert. If i have another chance, I would go there again~~~
